Lauryn Goodman appeared to extend an olive branch to Kyle Walker after confronting him in family court.

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard reprised their hosting duties at the helm of the ITV daytime show this Monday and caught up with the latest headlines, including Lauryn Goodman 's family court showdown with Kyle Walker.

The pair battled it out over child support payments during the summer and their legal row made the headlines, leading her to be grilled over the situation on the set of This Morning.

But, surprisingly, during her chat with Cat and Ben, the Celebs Go Dating star admitted she'd been hoping their conflict could be settled in private, though she was still hoping they could reach more civil terms for the benefit of their two children, particularly as their son Kairo is asking questions about his famous father.

"It's been quite difficult emotionally, it's been really difficult to handle", she notably said as she opened up about the impact of her public battle on her and her children's lives, before confirming she was due to make an appearance in Celebs Go Dating this Wednesday, September 4.

Lauryn first revealed that she had known Kyle for "over a decade" as the pair met through mutual friends and her sister, Chloe, with whom she hasn't been on the best of terms, according to reports.

"We became very good friends", Lauryn remembered, before adding: "Currently, there is no relationship and everything (is dealt) through the lawyers." A situation that she admits is particularly difficult for her children, notably Kairo. "It's really, really difficult. Obviously because Kairo asks a lot about his dad and he formed that bond with him. It's just trying to navigate that as best you can."

This comes weeks after the majority of Lauryn's financial demands were brutally dismissed. These notably included a brand-new £70,000 Mercedes car, a £33,000 aircon unit and £31,000 worth of astroturf, but she was accused of seeing the striker as an "open-ended chequebook."

Lauryn and Kyle welcomed a second child in secret, with Kyle hoping to keep the news away from his wife Annie Kilner at the time and it was reported she had asked for the financial rewards to keep quiet about the baby, with Kyle later slamming her "insatiable greed."

In court, he said: "I'm not going to say I was over a barrel or someone had a gun to my head. She had a detonator. For me it was about keeping the peace just so my wife doesn't find out. This is a woman who has had a lot of media attention over the last couple of months." Annie Kilner notably kicked him out after finding out he had fathered two children with the social media influencer.

Judge Edward Hess took Goodman to task, stating she doesn't have a "good track record of telling the truth" and calling her "difficult, unreasonable and demanding."

After ruling, Lauryn said: "This has only ever been about the children and providing for their futures. I am a dedicated single mother and whilst my children will never have what their half siblings have, I have tried my best for my children and always will, no matter what.

"Thanks to my legal team and the judge's decision, my children's childhood is secure and I will now focus on building a solid future for them so as to provide for the time when the children's home reverts back to their father. I look forward to enjoying every moment with my children and the three of us being able get on with our lives." But will she ever be able to put her differences with Kyle to rest?
