Jeff Goldblum labelled 'idiot' by Kaos co-stars after making awkward blunder on set

Jeff Goldblum seemingly got his wires crossed during filming for Netflix's series Kaos, a bold reimagining of Greek mythology. For the drama, the veteran actor, 71, steps into the shoes of Zeus, the formidable ruler of the Greek gods.
During promotion for the anticipated show, Goldblum confessed to being called an "idiot" on set after a hilarious mix-up. As reported by the Daily Mail, Jeff quipped: "I came the first day with The Cat in the Hat.
"I'd done my research and they said, 'Jeff, why are you rhyming everything in that whimsical way? It's Zeus, not Dr Seuss, you idiot'."
This isn't the only blunder the Jurassic Park legend has made while drumming up excitement for Kaos.
In a cringe-worthy radio interview moment last week, Goldblum seemed to draw a blank when it came to remembering his co-star, the talented Suzy Eddie Izzard.
Chatting with Scott Mills on the day of release, Jeff was all enthusiasm as he discussed what viewers can look forward to, reports the Express.
He gushed: "I think you should see it. And, anybody within the sound of my voice, I tell you, this Thursday, they all come out at once, you can binge them, so there you go. I think you're going to get a big kick out of it."
Jeff then namedropped some fellow cast members, saying: "David Thewlis is in it and Stephen Dillane, great actors, yeah."
Scott then chimed in to remind him that Billie Piper and Eddie Izzard also star in the series.
In a slightly awkward exchange, Jeff seemed to be stumped as he responded "Who?" when Eddie's name came up.
It was unclear if the Hollywood legend genuinely drew a blank on who Eddie was or simply missed what was said initially. However, Jeff quickly got on track, acknowledging: "Eddie Suzy Izzard, yes, is in it. Fantastic.
"Billie Piper is in it. Debi Mazar, oh yeah, a whole bunch of people who are just fantastic."
Since hitting the screens, Kaos has been greeted with rave reviews.
On social media platform X, one fan shared: "OH MAN KAOS IS REALLY GOOD! ! The writing is so solid, the outfits and costume design are so fun, and whoever picked that soundtrack has such taste."
Another added: "I just binged watched #Kaos - Outstanding series."
A third fan has already called for a second series, adding: "Kaos is so amazing. Hopefully we get a season 2."
