22 Kids and Counting viewers say 'most boring episode' after format shake-up
The Radford family returned to our screens on Sunday evening for a brand new episode of 22 Kids and Counting, but some fans were left unimpressed as the show had a format change
Fans of 22 Kids and Counting were bewildered by a surprise twist in the latest episode on Channel 5 on Sunday evening, as it ditched the conventional format for something different.
Rather than following the usual exploits of the Radford family, viewers were treated to Sue and Noel Radford presenting a compilation of their top 22 parenting tips, illustrated with past footage from their series.
The deviation left audiences scrambling to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice their bewilderment and disappointment. Discontent was in the air as one viewer bemoaned: "This is gonna be the most boring episode ever #22kidsandcounting."

Another shared their letdown, saying: "Ohh it's just a countdown! ! ! I'm disappointed now #22KidsAndCounting." A third tersely vented: "This is s**t."
Yet, not all feedback was negative, with one fan raving: "Loved the episode of 22 kids and counting tonight something a bit different to the normal series. #22kidsandcounting #Radfordfamily."
Throughout the show, Sue and Noel delved into the depths of what being a family truly means to them, engaging personally with the audience, reports the Express.
A particularly touching throwback came from a former episode that saw their son Luke announce his bisexuality on-air, marking him as the first Radford to become a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
In the preceding week's episode, emotions ran high as Noel struggled tearfully with the tumultuous choice of whether to seek out his biological mother.
Noel's heartfelt journey included a counselling session showcased on the series, offering an intimate glance into his experiences with adoption.
He reflected on the moment he found out he was adopted as a young boy, revealing: "I remember going to school the next day saying 'I'm adopted, I'm special', but I guess the older you get the more curious you get and the other thing is, the clock's ticking."
