Courtney Love has shared why she rejected a 'wild' romp with Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher.
The news comes as Oasis announced their reunion, 15 years after their dramatic split, for a major 17-date tour across the UK and Ireland - their first performance in 16 years. As fans scramble for tickets, we're taking a trip down memory lane to revisit some of their most outrageous celebrity encounters. Back in 2000, Courtney Love, widow of Nirvana's Kurt Cobain, had a wild night out with the UK band.
But the blonde bombshell turned down Liam's advances, likening him to a "13th century serf". In a 2014 interview with Metro, she recalled how Liam serenaded her with his hit single Songbird at London's famous Groucho Club.

When he asked her opinion of him, Love confessed: "I mean, he was lovely but he had really bad breath from being up all night and his eyebrows kind of met in the middle. And I just thought he looked like a 13th-century serf from Monty Python. And I blurted it out loud."
Luckily, Liam wasn't offended by her remarks, mainly because he "didn't understand me". However, her daughter Frances was livid that she had turned down the Northern rocker, reports the Daily Star. Courtney told the outlet: "Frances, who loves Oasis more than Nirvana, was furious I didn't sleep with him. She texted me saying, 'Mommy you are an epic sl*t but you never slept with Liam Gallagher!'" An image of Courtney and Gallagher in a London taxi instantly started romance rumours. However, Courtney had previously commented on her deep admiration for Liam.
Before they even met, she posted on X once known as Twitter : "I kept thinking, Liam's the talent! It's not Noel! (Unfair, I'm sure. It's them both)." Fans instantly took to social media to weigh in on the retrieved interview this week. One netizen posted: "There's really a Courtney Love story for every occasion."
Another quipped: "They never got together because they knew that a fourteen-year-old me would've made their tumultuous relationship my entire personality' and 'Epic Sl*t' should be her new album name. She can dedicate it to her friend Madonna."
Liam, 51, and Noel, 57, triggered waves of excitement among Oasis fans this week by setting aside their decade-and-a-half-long dispute and reviving their iconic band. Hinting at something major in the pipeline just last month, Liam teased on X: "There's a few big things happening but I can't tell you as it's so big it's gonna blow your minds and I've been sworn to secrecy sorry hope you understand. ".
He also disclosed on July 24 that he was at a photoshoot, which fans now realise was with his brother Noel and photographer Simon Emmett. Fans will have to keep their eyes peeled to see what the Gallagher brothers are planning next.
