Tinder launches new app for celebs - approaching Vanessa Feltz and Hannah Waddingham
Several high-profile singles have been approached by Tinder in a bid to boost their new dating service tailored to the rich and famous, including Vanessa Feltz and Hannah Waddingham
Online dating app Tinder is planning to launch a spin-off site to help the rich and famous find romance.
Celebrities and the very wealthy often sign up to exclusive dating service Raya when they are looking for love. But now Tinder – the world ’s most popular dating app – has set its sights on a piece of the A-list action.
Insiders say it has already approached several well-known single celebs, such as TV presenter Vanessa Feltz, 62, and Ted Lasso star Hannah Waddingham, 50, as well as a string of Love Islanders. The “invite only” app will be rolled out in the UK before going global.

One source said: “Tinder is looking to bring a brand new product to the market, targeting affluent individuals, entrepreneurs, influencers and celebrities.” Tinder, which was launched in 2012, revolutionised the way people meet.
The app, which was downloaded more than 6.1 million times in June alone, is famous for its ‘swipe’ function.
Users swipe right if they like the look of someone, and left if they don’t. Raya, which has around 10,000 members, is known for its rigorous vetting process and has a waiting list of more then 100,000 people.
Hollywood actor Channing Tatum, 44, singer Harry Styles, 30, and model Cara Delevingne, 32, are all said to have used it.
But singer Coleen Nolan, 59, this week revealed she didn’t last long on the site before she switched to Tinder and found her boyfriend, Michael Jones.
She said: “I went on Raya for two days and thought, ‘Oh God, no!’ because they’re all very beautiful people.”
Tinder was approached for comment.
