One lucky Irish Lotto player has scooped up a five-figure sum but missed out on the life-changing jackpot in Saturday night’s Lotto draw.

In total, over 78,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws including one winner of the Match Five + Bonus prize worth €45,347. The lucky numbers were 5, 14, 15, 29, 38, 43 and the bonus of 17.

The jackpot was worth a staggering €3,060,603. There was no winner of the Lotto Plus One or Lotto Plus Two draws, worth €1,000,000 and €250,000 respectively. There were 79 winners of the Raffle Prize each receiving €500, the winning raffle ticket number was 1153.

Meanwhile, the search is still on to find a big Lotto winner, who landed a five-figure sum in Wednesday night's draw.

The player was just one number off scooping the jackpot of €2,670,804 - but can console themselves with a prize of €78,038 after picking five of the six winning numbers, plus the bonus. These were 02, 15, 18, 27, 29, 38 and bonus 30.

National Lottery bosses have confirmed that the big winner has yet to come forward and are appealing for players to check their numbers carefully. As part of the appeal, they have revealed where the golden ticket was purchased.

It's been confirmed that the winning bet was placed at Lidl in Nenagh on Martyr's Road. The Tipperary winner scooped their prize after purchasing their Quick Pick ticket on Tuesday, August 27.
