Alex Jones' husband shocks her with 'biggest surprise of life' and celeb pals are delighted
The One Show host Alex Jones was left speechless when her husband surprised her with a brand new black Labrador puppy which she posted on social media
Alex Jones has announced a new edition to her family after her husband surprised her with a black Labrador puppy.
The host of BBC's The One Show, 47, shared with fans that she was gifted by her husband Charlie Thompson with an adorable new pup.
And in a fit of excitement, the TV presenter wrote: "Big news!!! There is a new addition to the family and it was a COMPLETE SURPRISE (thanks Charlie). It was a huge shock but I’ve fallen head over heels with little Scout, we all have. The children’s faces were a picture!!! I’ve never had a dog before so any puppy advice would be most welcome."

In the video, taken in her sprawling garden, Alex introduced her pup to fans saying: "So I have a bit of news. On Monday night, and it's taking me a few days to process it, I came home here and Charlie was standing in the middle of the drive with what I thought was a jumper in his hands. And then this black jumper moved.”
She continued: "I got out of the car and I said, ‘Whose dog is that?’ And he said, ‘Ours’. We have a new arrival. Look, we have a new little baby. This is Scout. Say hi. ‘Hi everybody, hello’. He's 10 and a half weeks old. I absolutely love him. He's gorgeous."
And Scout already has a legion of fans as McFly star Harry Judd said: "W are living in parallel lives. Scout and Billy play date soon x”. And a fan said: "You will realise it's one of the best choices your family will ever make." Meanwhile a fourth person penned: "Absolutely gorgeous. With puppies - positive training in all the acceptable and never giving in to the cuteness overload."
A fourth said: "My favourite dog breed! I work in a vets and my advice is get him insured and join a health plan at your vets where you get vaccinations, flea and wormer etc included! But most of all enjoy him. He won’t be a puppy for long so enjoy those puppy cuddles!"
Earlier this month, Alex issued a statement regarding her family get-away, she said: "Morning. I'm sorry, I've been a little bit quiet but we've had no signal at all. There's no WiFi yet in the new house. W absolutely love it [though] and we've done lots of unpacking, which is good. And the garden's been amazing in the sun." She then excitedly revealed: "But we are now on our way to Corsica for a couple of days."
