Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks 'smitten but one change will ensure commitment' for new romance
Love Island star Maura Higgins and TOWIE's Pete Wicks displayed 'rare behaviour for reality stars' as they appeared 'equally smitten' when sharing a kiss over the weekend
Maura Higgins and Pete Wicks had a very passionate moment together while in public as they were caught getting close.
The Love Island star appeared to be blossoming a romance with the former TOWIE hunk. It comes after claims the pair are secretly dating and snaps have proved there is definitely sparks between them. Maura, 33, was spotted smooching Pete, 36, outside the Broadwick Soho Hotel in London over the weekend.
They also appeared deep in conversation with each other on their apparent date. Maura made sure her arm was around Pete as she leaned in for a kiss. The pair didn't try to hide away from onlookers in the busy hotspot. Body language expert Judi James has shared exclusively with The Mirror : "When two of the most famous and gorgeous-looking reality TV stars roll into a relationship like Maura and Pete seem to be doing here the body language can often look lop-sided or over-congruent, with one looking keener than the other or both just hoping to double-up on the headlines via some showmance before breaking up publicly to get a gig on the next dating show or even re hook-up on a show like ‘Ex on the Beach’.

"Pete and Maura’s signals here though do suggests they might be equally smitten, especially as their eye contact and eye-attention appears balanced in terms of intense gazing at the other’s face. This is a rare behaviour for reality stars or any celeb couple as one will often be gazing adoringly while the other appears distracted by cameras or even a mirror."
She continued: "Their passionate kiss looks well synchronised, with Pete putting in effort by leaning in while Maura responds by circling her arms around his neck. She just needs to coax those glasses off the top of his head while he’s kissing her to get the last comprehensive sign of any commitment. Perching precariously on his head like this they are a small touch of photogenic vanity that would need to be removed before a more surrendered snog."
It has been claimed Pete, who is rumoued to be a contestant on this year's Strictly Come Dancing, turned up at the venue an hour after Maura arrived with a group of pals. A bystander told the Sun: "After they'd sat there for a while Maura went in for a long kiss with Pete. It wasn't the kind of kiss you'd give a friend, it was very passionate."
They said the couple kept gazing at each other before kissing several more times and even left the terrace together to continue their night inside the hotel's flute bar. Pete "sat with his arm around Maura all evening" as the onlooker said: "They were all over each other. They looked totally in love and weren’t trying to hide it from anyone."
The night out came shortly after the Irish beauty split from Chris Hemsworth body double Bobby Holland Hanton. They were said to have began dating last summer, but split earlier this year. It appears Pete might have to move quick as Maura recently revealed another Hollywood star had slid into her DMs.
In a recent interview, she confirmed she moved on from Bobby and said: "I've had Hollywood men slide into my DMs. But I'm not going to do that, be flown to Hollywood for a first date. They have to come to me!" Opening up on what attracts her, Maura previously told Closer magazine: "I don't go off just looks, I have to be speaking to somebody for quite some time to sort of get their vibe. It needs to be flirty, getting to know each other, getting a vibe."
Pete could be gearing up to step back into the spotlight as rumours have swrilled he willbe taking part in this year's Strictly. In an appearance on This Morning earlier this year with best friend Sam Thompson, Pete discussed his "bad reputation" with women and said: "I've obviously had a bit of a career where I haven't got the best reputation when it comes to women."
He then explained that he had "slowed down", adding that he had been romantically linked to various people over the years. Pete confessed: "I'm old and decrepit now, so I've really slowed down. I'm actually quite a nice person but people just don't believe it. I get linked to everyone."
Pete - who tried his luck on Celebs Go Dating on three occasions - was recently seen cosying up to I'm A Celebrity and Eastenders star Danielle Harold, but the actress said they were "just good friends." His former girlfriends include fellow Towie stars Megan McKenna, Shelby Tribble, Chloe Sims and Jess Wright but he was more recently associated with Hannah Elizabeth.
