Daniel Wiffen has revealed some of the goodies that himself and fellow Team Ireland athletes have received during their stay in Paris for the Games.

The Magheralin swimmer has had a terrific Olympics so far, earning Ireland's first gold medal of the games with the 800m freestyle swim, and then securing a bronze medal in the 1500m freestyle. The free goodie bag was the icing on the cake for Wiffen, who has announced himself to the world and became a household name during these games.

In a nearly two-minute YouTube video posted to the Wiffen Twins channel on Sunday, Daniel revealed to subscribers the gifts he has received in his capacity as an Olympian.

Funnily enough, Wiffen pulled out his 800m freestyle gold medal out of the bag to begin with as what the Olympics gives out for free.

"There are a couple of these around...about a thousand or something," he said while showing off his prize.

Next up was a set of stamps that displayed his face on the front. A lanyard was pulled out next that Wiffen intends to use as a strap for his camera, and finally a Samsung-sponsored drawstring bag.

More goodies were Inside the bag, however, there was an Olympic-stylised washbag adorned with shampoo, soap, deodorant, toothbrush, and toothpaste.

There were a couple of Powerade and Coca-Cola water bottles for the Olympic champion to use.

Lastly, there was the star gift from the sponsors, a Samsung flip phone, that all athletes are given upon entering the Olympic Village.

Wiffen won the gold medal by setting a new Olympic record of 7:38.19 in the 800m freestyle before taking the bronze medal In the 1500m after getting pipped to the finish by his rivals in the 800m in USA's Bobby Finke and Italy's Gregorio Paltrinieri.

Wiffen still has the open water marathon swim to come on Friday in the River Seine where he has another chance to bring home more Olympic gold to Armagh.
