Jake Paul outlines why he thin

Jake Paul has dismissed the idea of a fight with Conor McGregor and doubled down on his call-out of Alex Pereira.

Paul dropped and stopped bare-knuckle world champion and former UFC star Mike Perry on Saturday night, prompting McGregor to take to social media to blast the YouTuber. Paul hit back, insisting McGregor would never fight him, and instead turned his attention to UFC light-heavyweight champion Alex Pereira.

Pereira has won two world titles in the promotion and recently signed a new eight-fight contract, effectively ruling him out of fighting Paul unless released by UFC CEO Dana White. Paul will take on Mike Tyson in November but insists he then wants to test himself against Pereira.

'The guy's on Twitter, the guy's on yachts but the guy's not in the ring winning fights like me," he said on his podcast. "He won't fight me, I've said it since a long time ago. Conor McGregor is owned by Dana White, he probably can't get out of his contract but that's what he will hide behind because he's not going to get in there. All the s*** talk but he won't put it on the line, and i want a tougher challenge than McGregor, f*** McGregor, I want Alex Pereira, the light-heavyweight champion.

"Everyone says everything about the weight difference but I was 212lb in the ring, so that's a 10lb difference which is common in boxing. Alex Pereira rehydrates to 240lb so I want someone who, when I f*** them up like I did tonight, there are no excuses. Alex Pereira is six foot four, 240lb, kickboxing world champion, two division champion in UFC and when i beat him what the f*** can they say? Keep writing me off, that's what people have done in every facet of my life since I was eight years old. I can't be stopped."

After Pereira knocked out Jiri Prochazka to defend his title at UFC 303 last month, Anthony Joshua took to social media to say: "Alex Pereira should make a boxing debut one day." Pereira responded by saying: "I’m honoured you think so. It’s always been my dream - [but] I’m 37, I cannot make a career in it, so who do you recommend I fight?"

Joshua told him his options are "endless" but Paul wants to be at the front of the queue. "Alex Pereira is who i want," he added. "I've been thinking about it since I saw his tweet. When he asked who he should fight, the No.1 response was Jake Paul and I'm down."
