Conor Leen says he would pull Robbie O'Flynn's jersey again following Clare's All-Ireland final victory over Cork.

The Banner County ran out winners by a single point at Croke Park on Sunday following an epic final as the game finished: Clare 3-29 Cork 1-34.

But there was a controversial incident right at the end of extra-time as Leen pulled the jersey of O'Flynn as the Corkman went for a point that would have levelled the game and forced a replay. O'Flynn's effort went wide and the referee blew the whistle for full-time shortly afterwards.

A number of people criticised the decision afterwards, but Cork manager Pat Ryan and former Rebels star Donal Og Cusack were not two of them.

Ryan said: "Obviously, there are a couple of decisions that go your way and don’t go your way.

“At the end of the day, Clare are the champions and we won’t be giving out about any of that stuff.”

Speaking on RTE's coverage of the game, Og Cusack commented: "I wouldn’t hold that against Clare. I’m telling you, Clare won the game. Robbie O’Flynn, he’ll still say that he should have put the ball over the bar. I guarantee it. He still got his shot off.

"It was pulled, but it would be wrong to let that colour the whole game. There were loads of different incidents that could’ve went one way or another. It was a foul, we know that, but he still got his chance to put it over the bar. So, as a Cork person - and I’m conscious about who I’m representing today - I wouldn’t be going on about that.”

Leen was asked about the incident by Marty Morrissey on RTE's Morning Ireland and said: "I most definitely did (pull the jersey) and I'd do it again anyway," he said. "You get away with it sometimes, sometimes you don't. I did yesterday and I'd do it every day if I could."
