Amanda Holden confesses husband reminds her of a horse and she fancies equine-looking men
TV presenter Amanda Holden had her say on the "hot rodent men" trend that is sweeping Hollywood, with stars such as Barry Keoghan and Mike Faist being given the label
Amanda Holden has confessed she thinks her husband Chris Hughes reminds her of a horse - but admits she does fancy “equine-looking men”.
It comes after the trend for “hot rodent men” started sweeping Hollywood - courtesy of "Generation Z". The men are said to be unconventionally attractive with sharp eyes and angular faces, but also have sensitive personalities.
The trend is believed to have gained popularity after Zendaya’s Blockbuster film Challengers starring Mike Faist and Josh O’Connor hit the cinemas. Barry Keoghan, the Saltburn star, is also said to be a “hot rodent” man.

On Heart FM Breakfast, presenter Jamie Theakston decided he needed to find out Amanda Holden ’s take on the latest trend sweeping Hollywood. Amanda, however, confessed she is more of a horse girl than a rodent fan.
Amanda said: “Before this even started, I used to compare people to animals. I used to go ‘oh no, not him, he looks like an owl’ or something.”
She added: “You see, Barry Keoghan, I get that he’s the latest thing, I loved him in Saltburn, but I don’t fancy him. I like a proper man with a dad bod.
“Animal wise, I think my husband reminds me, because he has loads of gorgeous black shiny hair, he’s really tall, he always reminds me of a horse.
“He’s got that gorgeous hair, he’s very tall, he’s very noble. I prefer horse men.”
Jamie suggested former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could also be considered a “horse man”. Heart listeners suggested other men Amanda might think look like horses, including former Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp and Slyvester Stallone.
Other suggestions included Owen Wilson, although Jamie said the Hollywood actor lacked the “long face” to be considered a “horse man”, instead suggesting Keanu Reeves fits the bill. Another listener suggested Aerosmith frontman Steve Tyler.
Amanda commented: “He’s oddly attractive. I kind of like oddly attractive tall men.”
