British singer-songwriter Paloma Faith has got fans in hysterics ahead of her Dublin show this weekend with a particularly Irish promo video.

The UK songstress, beloved for her eccentric style and chart-topping hits, will play the Iveagh Gardens this weekend serenading fans with her pop and soul classics from over the years.

Before she takes to the stage on Saturday, the Only Love Can Hurt Like This singer took to social media to get Irish fans in the mood for her show, making some rather witty references to Irishims, including “a bag of cans” and “what’s the craic”.

Speaking to the camera Paloma busts out a series of cultural references, like Teresa Mannion’s famous line, or draws on well-known Irish cuisine like a chicken fillet roll.

“What’s the craic Ireland,” the UK songwriter said to open up her sidesplitting promotional video ahead of her show at the weekend.

“Ah here, leave it out! I can’t wait to have a chicken fillet roll before my show in Dublin on July 21 which is my birthday, making me a Gemini, wait, what date of birth did I give?

“Anyway, every bit of land will be covered in milfs and 'chung wans' so make sure to not make unnecessary journeys away from Iveagh Gardens on that day or you’ll be in the most, unparliamentary language, a feckin' eejit.

“Bring a big bag of cans with the lads, sure it would be rude not to, and make sure you turn the immersion off.”

The songstress then awkwardly waves at the camera before whispering “Can I go now?”

Paloma Faith will play at the Iveagh Gardens on Sunday, July 21, tickets cost €54.85 plus booking fees. You can find them here.
