The compilation of evidence against Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi, Brian Tonna, Karl Cini and more than a dozen other individuals and companies implicated in the Vitals Global Healthcare scandal resumes today.

Milling outside the courtroom amongst the crowd of accused and lawyers is former minister Chris Cardona, who the court was previously told, will be called as a witness.

It was Cardona who had signed the original Memorandum of Understanding with Vitals.

During the previous sitting, earlier this month, Auditor General Charles Deguara had told the court that this secretive MoU - which had been revealed by the press - was the first red flag about the deal.

“On the basis of this MoU alone, VGH’s bid should have been rejected,” he said.
