Two women were taken to hospital after the car they were in was involved in a collision with a van on Tuesday afternoon, the police said.
The accident took place in Hal Far Road, Birzebbuga, at 6.15pm.
It involved a Toyota Aygo, driven by a 34-year-old woman of Siggiewi, who had a 56-year-old woman from Vittoriosa riding as a passenger, and a Fort Transirt driven by a 22-year-old Greek man resident in Marsascala.
The two women were taken to hospital, with the driver suffering grievous injuries while the passenger was slightly hurt.
