Man hospitalised after early morning Dublin city centre assault as another man charged
It is believed the the victim sustained facial injuries in the alleged attack
A man has been hospitalised following an early morning assault in Dublin city centre.
The man suffered non-life threatening injuries following the alleged assault, which occurred at the corner of Deverell Place and Gardiner Street in Dublin 1 just after midnight in the early hours of Wednesday (December 11) morning, Dublin Live report.
It is understood that the victim suffered facial injuries in the attack.

Gardai and emergency services were called to the scene and the man was taken to a nearby hospital, where thankfully his injuries are not understood to be serious.
A man in his 20s was subsequently arrested in connection with the alleged assault. He has since been charged in relation to the attack and is due to appear in court on Thursday morning.
In a statement, a garda spokesman said: "Gardaí responded to reports of an assault on Gardiner Street in Dublin 1 shortly after midnight on Wednesday 11th December 2024. A male was taken to hospital to receive medical treatment.
"A man (20s) was arrested in connection with the incident and has since been charged. He is due to appear the Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin this morning, Thursday, 12th December 2024."
