Katie Taylor told to retire while healthy by top boxing trainer

Top boxing trainer Jamie Moore has told Katie Taylor to retire while she has her health.
The Bray woman needed all her reserves to edge a titanic rematch with Amanda Serrano in Arlington, Texas, earlier this month.
Taylor's unanimous decision victory was the 24th of her professional career, cementing her place as the biggest star in women's boxing.

But Moore, who trained Chantelle Cameron to beat the Olympic gold medallist in May 2023, which remains the only loss of Taylor's pro career, believes it is time for the 38-year-old to hang up her gloves.
He told Boxing News: “I think everyone probably agrees that Katie’s past her best now and she’s seen better days. I’d just love for her to walk away now.
"She’s had four hard fights on the trot. Chantelle Cameron is a phenomenal fighter and she beat her the first time. She lost a close fight in the second fight but both were hard fights for her [Taylor]. And the same with both Serrano fights.
“I’d like her to walk away now. She’s had a phenomenal career, she’s such a beautiful person and what a phenomenal fighter she’s been but I’d like her to walk away while she’s healthy with a lot of money in the bank.”
Moore says it will be an enormous decision for Taylor to walk away from the ring after spending a lifetime dedicated to her craft.
"It's like a grieving process. She knows what is coming. She is going to miss boxing like a member of her family has passed away.
"It's like something being taken away from you that you will never get back. So it's such a difficult process."
He added: "She would make a phenomenal pundit. She knows boxing inside and out. I would love to see her working for DAZN and seeing her at fights week in and week out.
"She can't walk away from boxing and never be seen again. She needs to be on the scene forever."
Meanwhile Caroline Dubois has given Taylor an ultimatum to fight her or give up her lightweight world titles.
Taylor's last three fights have all been for the undisputed super-lightweight championship, which has meant that the WBC lightweight belt hasn't been contested for over two years.
Dubois is the WBC's Interim titlist at 135lbs and is waiting for her chance to fight for the belt.
She told Sky Sports: "I'm mandatory to the belt. Katie needs to either come back down and fight me or let the belt go.
"She hasn't fought for the belt for over a year now. It seems apparent that she's not going to come back down to 135lbs. So she's just hoarding the belt, stopping me in my tracks and my future and my career, for what purpose?
"She's done so well in her career, she's fought Amanda Serrano, I'm sure she's going to want the trilogy, that's going to be a big money fight. But that will be at 140lbs.
"So there's no business even holding onto the belt. Just let it go and I get on with my career and she can get on with hers."
