Andy Farrell will name his side this afternoon for Ireland's final Autumn Nations Series game against Australia on Saturday.

Ireland are looking to make it three wins from four matches ahead of Farrell heading off on British and Irish Lions duty.

They face an Australian side that has enjoyed a revival under former Ireland boss Joe Schmidt.

Schmidt led Ireland to three Six Nations titles in six years at the helm before leaving after the 2019 Rugby World Cup.

The Kiwi has led the Aussies to wins over England and Wales in recent weeks but they come into this one on the back of a 27-13 defeat to Scotland at Murrayfield.

Farrell is set to name his final Ireland side of the year at 2pm this afternoon. Stay with us as the sides are named.

Andy Farrell names his final Ireland team today before temporarily leaving the post to manage the British and Irish Lions.

And it will be fascinating to see who he turns to take on the Aussies ahead of the Six Nations next year.

Ireland will be without Tadhg Furlong for the clash as the continues to battle a calf injury, while Jamie Osborne (adductor), Ryan Baird (head) and Jacob Stockdale (hamstring) will also miss the match.

But there are many places up for grabs in the teams, not least the fly-half position after the young pretender Sam Prendergast showed flashes of brilliance against Fiji last time out.
