The operator of Dublin and Cork Airports has confirmed alcohol brands associated with Conor McGregor have been removed from sale in both airports after he lost a civil assault case last week.

McGregor was found liable of assaulting Nikita Hand, who accused him of raping her in a Dublin hotel six years ago. A jury awarded her over €248,000 in damages.

Now, the operator of Cork and Dublin Airports, daa, has confirmed that the sale of Proper No 12 whiskey has been halted in both of the airports over the weekend, adding that none of the bars in either hub sell any McGregor-associated drinks.

Graeme McQueen, Media Relations Manager at daa, the operator of Dublin and Cork Airports told the Irish Mirror: “daa can confirm that Proper No 12 whiskey was removed from sale in both Dublin and Cork airports over the weekend.

“We can confirm that none of the bars in Dublin or Cork airports sell either Proper No 12 or Forged Irish Stout.”

Earlier this week, Musgrave confirmed it will no longer be stocking products associated with McGregor.

The wholesale giant has made contact with its operators nationwide, including SuperValu, Centra, Daybreak and Mace, to inform them that all products associated with McGregor will be delisted.

This includes Proper Twelve whiskey products, for which the MMA fighter is a spokesperson but no longer an owner, and Forged Irish Stout. A spokesperson for the Musgrave Group said: "these products are no longer available to our store network.”
