Three cost of living bonus payments still to be paid before new year
A number of payments will be issued before Christmas to assist families and individuals across the State with the cost of living
Thousands of people all over the country are in line to receive a spate of much anticipated cost-of-living payments over the coming weeks.
Budget 2025, which was announced last month, contained a €1.2 billion social welfare package “targeted to those with the greatest need”.
A total of ten bonus payments were announced in this year's budget, many of which have already been issued already.

The Social Protection budget – the largest in the history of the State – will assist families, pensioners, carers and people with disabilities with the cost of living through a mix of lump sum payments, targeted supports and increases to weekly payments.
Over the next few weeks, a €100 social welfare bonus will be handed out to those receiving the Child Support Grant, with a second once-off double payment of Child Benefit also being issued.
In October, more than 1.4 million households benefitted from a double payment with those same groups to receive a double payment at the start of next month. You can find the full details of the upcoming bonus payments down below:
Week starting November 25
Those in receipt of the Child Support Grant, formerly known as ‘Qualified Child’, will be paid a €100 bonus on the week beginning November 25th.
Week starting December 2
The second once-off double payment of Child Benefit for each child will be paid on December 3.
The Christmas Bonus Double Payment will be paid on the week commencing December 2.
