McIlroy is tied with Rasmus Hojgaard and Antoine Rozner.
Denmark's Rasmus Hojgaard and Frenchman Antoine Rozner are tied with Rory McIlroy heading into the final round of action at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
The 35-year-old shot a four-under-par 68 at Jumeirah Golf Estates, positioning himself for a possible third victory in the European Tour's season-ending tournament.
He is almost guaranteed of winning the Race to Dubai and landing the title for the sixth time despite just missing a birdie chance to take an outright lead but hit a par.

"My goal is to be on that 18th green with a chance to win two trophies instead of one," McIlroy said to Sky Sports.
"Tomorrow is going to be my last competitive round of the year so it would be an amazing way to finish off the year," he added.
"A year of a lot of close calls along with a lot of really good golf and some wins along the way.
"It is an opportunity to end the year on a really good note and I am going to go out there and try to get it done."
McIlroy will go out for his final match on Sunday where his playing partner will be Hojgaard as both look to claim victory.
