Asked about his double life, Dolan told RTE Radio 1: "When I was singing, the jockeying took a break.
"Then I missed the racing and wanted to get back into it, and the singing took a break.

Dolan has revealed that he has been flooded with messages and attention since winning the big race.
"It's hard to even explain,"' Dolan said. "I come from a small town in Kildare. We were driving down the road after winning the cup and coming back to have a few drinks somewhere, and people were recognising me in the car.
"It's mental. It's the biggest race in Australia. It's one of the biggest races in the whole world. It's crazy to be honest."
He added: "It's more than a race. It's a lifestyle thing. I've got 700 hundred messages on my phone that I need to reply to.
"I've been speaking to sixteen different news channels. I don't know what is going on at the moment. I've got people taking over my life for the next two weeks."
