Jake Paul has told Mike Tyson he should quit their fight if he is not prepared "to go to war".

Paul and Tyson were due to clash in Texas in July but the fight was pushed back until November when the heavyweight legend suffered an inflamed ulcer. Tyson, 58, is 30 years older than Paul and has not fought professionally since he retired on his stool against Kevin McBride in 2005.

And his fight with Paul has been widely condemned with the YouTuber coming under heavy criticism for taking on the former undisputed cruiserweight world champion. The fight will be held over eight two-minute rounds with 14oz but will be classed as a professional bout and will go on the fighters' records.

And Paul has insisted he is ready to bring the heat. "A pro fight means war and I don't take it lightly, you can get seriously hurt or injured in there so if you're not in there to go to war then you should just get out," he told TMZ.

And despite Tyson pulling out of the fight once, Paul insists he has no plans to call up a back-up fighter. "I don't have concern," he added. "He's doing great. He's super healthy behind the scenes and feeling great. So that's what we are focusing on and there is not a back-up currently."

Paul also responded to former UFC champion Francis Ngannou's claim that Tyson will knock out the YouTuber. "Mike is big and beefy and thick and strong, and Francis said he thinks Mike is going to knock me out which is funny," he said. "But I do have to be careful in the early rounds because Mike has that crazy, crazy punching power."

Paul has won all but one of his professional boxing fights, losing to Tommy Fury last year. He has largely taken on former MMA fighters including Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.

Bare-knuckle fighter Perry stepped in at short notice to fight Paul when Tyson pulled out. Tyson did take part in an exhibition bout against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr in 2020 with the bout scored a draw after eight rounds.
