Shane Lowry remains on course to earn a $2 million bonus for finishing the regular season inside the top-10 of the FedEx Cup rankings.

The regular season comes to a close this weekend at the Wyndham Championship and while Lowry has failed to make the cut for the first time in six months, the Irishman remains in 10th position in the rankings.

Lowry can only slip outside the 'Comcast Business Tour Top 10' of Brian Harmon or Christiaan Bezuidenhout win this weekend, but both are currently in T-40th position on four-under par, eight strokes behind leader Matt Kuchar.

The top 10 players on the FedEx Cup leaderboard at the end of the regular season receive an equal share of $20 million, meaning each golfer will earn a staggering pay-cheque for $2 million.

While Lowry is secure of his place in the play-offs and will likely be teeing it up at the FedEx Cup finale at East Lake in less than three weeks time, Kuchar, who has competed in every iteration of the FedEx playoffs since its introduction 17 years ago, needs a win to make it past the regular season.

"I really don't think much about it," said Kuchar. "Listen, I try to play well every week. Certainly not work out, glad it's worked out this week.

"I was telling somebody yesterday I don't focus on my point positioning, where I stand. I just don't know how that helps you to play good golf."
