Former Mayo player Keith Higgins and wife Treasa were in top form as they attended the wedding of Aidan O'Shea and Kristin McKenzie Vass.

Keith and Treasa were part of the esteemed guestlist for the wedding, which took place in the lavish five-star Muckross Park hotel in Kerry.

Sharing a snap from Aidan and Kristin's big day, ex-football and hurler Keith looked dapper in a striped black suit. Treasa, meanwhile, opted for a pale yellow midi dress, which she teamed with metallic strappy heels and statement earrings to match.

Other well-known faces spotted at the stunning wedding included Rob Hennelly, who was Aidan's best man, and his wife Orla.

“Had to steal the best man for a pic. Magical day for @kristin_mckenzie_vass and @aidoxi," Orla wrote on Instagram.

Aidan popped the question to Kristin last summer. The Mayo star got down on bended knee during a romantic escape to Ashford Castle in his native county.

Sharing the news at the time, they said: "It’s happening…. Big fat ‘YES’ from me".

Aidan opened up about the special moment, telling RSVP Live: "There was a bit of planning involved and it has been in the works for a couple of months.

"I was waiting for the opportune time to pop the question and it all happened on the last week of July. I asked the question and she thankfully said 'Yes'.

"We had some great celebrations with our friends and family for a few weeks. I think we’re still in celebratory mode."

The couple first met on a night out over six years ago and things took off from there despite the fact Kristin lived in London initially.

Aidan revealed: "We met randomly in Dublin in 2017. We kept in touch after that and then she moved to London.

"I visited her a few times and then one thing led to another. That’s how it panned out for us and we’re still together so something must have gone right."
