Munster are pinning their hopes on the elite UL Bohs club side to kickstart their Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial campaign with a Round One win over Ulster Round in Virgin Media Park this afternoon (2.30pm, live TG4).

Newly-appointed Head Coach Fiona Hayes has selected SIX of the university side's backs and SEVEN of their forwards while there are, for good measure, another four on the bench!

Out-half Kate Flannery and scrum-half Muirne Wall retain their half-back partnership following their year-long superb showing at the club.

Ireland international Enya Breen, the only starting back not at Bohs and who is with Dublin club Blackrock, makes her return after a positive Six Nations and pairs up with Stephanie Nunan in the centre.

Eimear Considine, hotly tipped to return to the international set-up this season having overcome an ACL injury that disrupted her season last year, takes the full-back slot with the jet-heeled Chisom Ugwueru and Alana McInerney on the wings. .

Up front, England-based Gloucester-Hartpury hooker Siobhán McCarthy makes her first appearance for Munster since September 2021 and will be alongside with hooker Beth Buttimer and Éilis Cahill in the front-row.

Clodagh O’Halloran and Claire Bennett back them up in the second row with Brianna Heylmann, Jane Clohessy and captain Chloe Pearse comprising the back-row.
