EastEnders star left enraged over mess tenants left behind as she sells house after soap axe
Lorraine Stanley has taken to social media to blast her former tenants over the 'vile' state they left her house in as she puts her house on the market after axe from EastEnders
EastEnders star Lorraine Stanley was left fuming after she walked into her house to discover the "vile" state her tenants left her house in.
The 48 year old actress, who became a household name after starring as Karen Taylor in the hit BBC soap, is preparing to sell her house after she was dropped from the soap. On entering the property, she was faced with the poor condition her home had been left in and so took to social media to call out her former tenants.
Posting a series of pictures of the mess, she raged: "Thanks for leaving us some ketchup sachets! We broke our back cleaning our property for our buyers to move in, absolute mingers!" She then added a number of hashtags that read: "House move. No respect. No class. Trash. The rest of the house was vile!! Shame on you. Deep clean tomorrow. Raise the bar."

Lorraine's last scene on the BBC soap was back in February after bosses confirmed her departure last year. She played Karen for seven years before being axed from the soap and fans at the time, were left devastated. But it looks as though Karen may be making a return. In an interview with The Sun, she said: "You'll have to wait and see. I can't say too much, you know I can't. You know there [will be] a funeral of some sort, I would imagine. I'm not allowed to say anything!"
But it seems her exit from the soap has not dampened her spirits as she landed a role in a film titled Departures. The movie follows the journey of Benji and his relationship with a married man named Luke, played by former Hollyoaks star, David Tag.
Lorraine is set to play Janet, who is Benji's mum and is described as encompassing an "old school mentality", as she struggles to accept her son's sexuality. Speaking of her new role, she said: "Janet doesn't mince her words and back in her day it would have been a bit of a shock if someone was openly gay, people didn't really come out like they do today. She's had to learn along the way and be taught the things you can say and the things you can't say. She's got a colourful vocabulary!"
In addition to her film role, earlier this year, Lorraine took to Instagram to share with fans that she has also landed a role in the 2024 Pompey Panto production of Dick Whittington, from 29 November until 31 December. She will play Queen Rat. She wrote: "I can’t wait for this!!!! Panto in my home town with me old mate Jack Edwards is going to be epic!!! Ratty is coming to play Kings Theatre get your tickets early (link in bio) and I’ll see you after the show Xxx @stageyjackedwards @kingstheatre #pompey #pompeypanto #portsmouth #theatre."
