The two sides meet in Dublin tonight for the first leg
Stephen Kenny's side host Swiss-based FC Vaduz tonight in the first leg as part of the Conference League second-round qualifier.
Pat's have had their fair share of struggles this season, coming into tonight's game in 7th place in the league, sitting just six points clear of the relegation zone, with Dundalk and Bohemians having games-in-hand over Kenny's outfit. They even lost their FAI Cup last weekend, exiting the competition at the hands of Derry City.
The Inchicore-based team hopes to catch Vaduz cold having only begun their Swiss second-tier campaign last Friday with a scoreless draw with Stade Nyonnais. They currently play in the Swiss Challenge League despite being a Lichtenstein-based team. Vaduz is unique in that it represents its national association (Lichtenstein) in the UEFA Europa Conference League when winning the domestic cup, whilst playing in another country's (Switzerland) league. This is due to Liechtenstein not organising its own league.
The winner of this tie will take on either Maccabi Haifa of Israel or FC Sabah of Azerbaijan in the third qualifying round.
