Updated on Tuesday with details from the police

A 52-year-old English man who resided in St Paul’s Bay died after losing control of his car on Monday.

The police said the fatality happened at around 6pm in Triq il-Katakombi, Naxxar.

According to investigations by the police, the man drove his Ford KA car into a residence’s parapet, and overturned the vehicle.

A medical team and the Civil Protection Department was called to the site of the accident, but the driver was certified dead on the site of the accident.

Duty magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has launched an inquiry, and police investigations are ongoing.
