Huge Evan Ferguson injury update in crucial month for Ireland striker
Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler has posted a worrying update on Ireland striker Evan Ferguson.
Evan Ferguson’s short-term fitness prospects are unclear, admits Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler.
The Ireland striker is currently sidelined with a foot issue, which means he cannot take advantage of teammate Danny Welbeck’s injury absence by clocking up some much-needed first-team minutes.
Nor is it good news for his hopes of a January transfer window loan move away from the Premier League side.

With West Ham, Arsenal and Fulham among the clubs interested in the Meathman, Hurzeler’s latest remarks on his fitness are concerning.
Ferguson was expected to appear against Brentford on December 27, after news of Welbeck’s set-back emerged.
However, he was omitted from the matchday squad and it was later clarified that the 20-year-old had picked up an injury of his own.
Asked for the latest on Ferguson, Hurzeler said: “It’s not an easy issue, but I hope that it doesn't take too long.
“I don't want to make or say any clear predictions because I don't know. We really have to go week for week and hope that he's a good healer.”
