Major boost as top GAA clash to go ahead despite snow storms hitting Ireland
Much of Ireland has been left under snow but a top GAA clash will go ahead as planned on Sunday.
The All-Ireland Junior Football semi-final will go ahead today despite heavy snow fall around the country, it has been confirmed.
Ballinagar and Carraroe will meet today in their semi-final clash and the game will go ahead after passing a pitch inspection.
That game takes place at Dr Hyde Park in Roscommon on 1 pm.

Much of the country has been left under heavy snowfall but with Dr Hyde Park passing the inspection this morning the game will go ahead.
Both of the AIB All-Ireland senior club championship semi-finals that were due to take place on Sunday afternoon have now been postponed due to the weather.
After Dr Crokes v Errigal Ciarán was called off on Saturday morning, a pitch inspection at Kingspan Breffni Park yesterday evening led to a decision to also pull the plug on the meeting of Coolera-Strandhill and Cuala.
Both fixtures will now take place on Saturday next (January 11), with the GAA set to confirm throw-in times on Monday.
Kerry and Munster champions Dr Crokes and Tyrone and Ulster champions Errigal Ciarán were due to collide at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise and the same venue will host their re-fixed meeting next weekend.
The same applies to the clash of Sligo and Connacht champs Coolera-Strandhill and Dublin and Leinster kingpins Cuala in Cavan.
