Gardaí have arrested two teenagers after a man was discovered with serious injuries in Mullingar over the weekend following an alleged assault.

The man, aged in his 30s, was found seriously injured on Grove Street, Mullingar, Westmeath in the early hours of Saturday, December 14, at approximately 1:10am.

He was rushed to Mullingar Hospital for medical treatment and is currently receiving treatment in Beaumont Hospital. It is understood he fell and hit his head after a one punch attack.
