Liverpool training live ahead of Real Madrid game as two injuries impact Caoimhin Kelleher prospects
Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher will start on Wednesday night in the Champions League against Real Madrid.
Alisson is absent from training on Tuesday afternoon ahead of Liverpool’s huge Champions League tie against Real Madrid - meaning Ireland goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher holds onto his starting spot.
Corkman Kelleher will face the holders and make his third Champions League appearance of the season.
He has yet to concede in Europe’s top competition, having kept clean sheets in the 1-0 win away to RB Leipzig and the 4-0 win at home to Bayer Leverkusen.

Kelleher’s hopes of making it a hat-trick of blanks have been boosted by the news of Vinicius Jr’s leg injury. He has scored 12 goals in 18 appearances so far this season, including four in four Champions League games.
Alisson isn’t Arne Slot’s only injury problem ahead of the visit of Carlo Ancelotti’s side. Trent Alexander-Arnold (hamstring) is struggling, while Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa are also concerns.
Liverpool are hoping to improve their head-to-head record against Madrid, having won just three of their previous 11 meetings, compared to Real’s seven wins.
You can watch the open part of Liverpool's training session here, where Alisson's failure to appear with the other goalkeepers provided confirmation of at least one of Slot's starting-11 on Wednesday night.
