Sedgefield is a 1300km round-trip from Carlow and the races’ first prize of just £4,193 is a lot less than Mullins and his army of stars is used to racing for. Fact To File picked up €90,000 for winning Sunday’s John Durkan Chase at Punchestown
Sedgefield is one of the smallest racecourses in the UK and is best known for its Durham National meeting in October but it rarely attracts top trainers like Mullins.
Brian Hayes travels over for the ride on six-year-old, who was last seen finishing sixth at Naas in October. He has only won once in his career and that was a 1m4f Dundalk maiden early last year when trained by Joseph Anthony Murray.
In the past few years Mullins has sent horses for the first time to Bangor, Ludlow, Ffos Las, Carlisle, Worcester and Fontwell but this will be a first visit to Sedgefield.
Mullins has had 62 winners from 433 runners in the UK in the past five seasons.
