Spice bag from Irish restaurant named in top ten biggest-trending dishes worldwide
Ireland’s love of the Spice bag helped it nab not only the top spot in the country, but a place in the global top 10
Deliveroo has revealed its annual Deliveroo 100 Report, a list of the top trending dishes ordered on the platform across Ireland and the world - with one iconic dish coming out on top.
From spice bags to burgers and Gyros, this year's list features a mix of global takeaway favourites, trending dishes, and grocery essentials.
In Ireland, Deliveroo customers can’t get enough of the Spice Bag Meal Deal from Xian Street Food in Dublin. It has won the hearts and stomachs of locals and takes the top spot of the most trending dishes in Ireland.

Recently, Deliveroo reported that the fast-food delicacy was also the top order for university students during freshers' week this year in Dublin and Galway. The Irish fast-food favourite also clinched a top ten spot at seventh in the global trending list.
Deliveroo’s 2024 Independent Restaurant of the Year winner, Yeeros in Dublin, takes the silver position with its popular Chicken Gyros Wrap.
Deliveroo Restaurant Award judge Jimi Famurewa, a renowned food critic and writer, praised Yeeros for its commitment to serving the best-tasting authentic Greek street food and the glowing reviews from customers who’d do anything to eat their food.
The Dash Double Smash from Dash Burger is third, followed closely by the cheeseburger from Bunsen.
These two much-loved Dublin burger joints serve their own variations of a ‘smash burger’, which has seen a spike in popularity over the past 12 months. Burgers comprise over 16 per cent of the total Irish top 30 list, making them one of the most trending dishes on Deliveroo in Ireland.
Finally, for the first time in Irish Deliveroo 100 history, a grocery essential—Avonmore Fresh Milk from Shuppa in Dublin—has made the top 30 list, in position twenty-seven.
This all-new inclusion is one of the many different types of drinks, food and cuisines that have trended over the past 12 months. These include everything from grocery to American, Greek, Thai, Mexican, Sushi, and Chinese, making this year one of the most diverse lists to date.
