I'm A Celebrity fans react as Maura Higgins makes brutal dig at co-stars
Maura Higgins delighted I'm A Celebrity viewers as she entered camp with Reverend Richard Coles ahead of joining the original campmates
Fans are already loving Maura Higgins' I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here arrival as the Love Island star took no time to throw shade.
The Irish star and Reverend Richard Coles were tasked with lying to the original campmates and told to get them to give up a bed for them. In return, the pair were able to live in luxury and enjoy the likes of a bath and comfortable beds.
While Richard said he would have to learn to lie, Maura joked it came easy to her. And as more luxuries became visible, including slippers and dressing gowns an excited Maura said she was up for the challenge. Richard said: "I'm going to get stricken with conscience in a minute because we are having lovely Camp and they're having s*** Camp."

However, Maura exclaimed: "No, don't mind them. They're fine. Live It up! They can starve in there for all I care!"
The brutal jibe was quickly jumped on by users on social media. On Twitter /X, one fan joked: "Maura is iconic," while another predicted: "They're going to be great additions."
A third added: "What a great twist love it," and a fourth claimed: "Already more entertaining than the entire camp," followed by a laughing face emoji.
Maura also joked the pair were "living in a seven star camp" as she told Richard to make sure he is a convincing liar. She went as far as trying to cry when she took a task from GK Barry and Coleen Rooney, while Richard claimed he was "shockingly ready" for the task in hand. Coleen called their camp "an absolute dump" after seemingly being convinced at the standard of the second camp.
They were also able to fool Melvin in a task with left him covered in disgusting offal, while the pair pretended they were too, but instead they were sitting back enjoying nice food.
Maura and Richard's arrival was finally revealed by hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly at the end of the episode on Wednesday. The hosts confirmed the pair would arrive and be in a separate camp, where they would have to take on a secret mission. Viewers were quick to react to the news, and there was quite a consensus regarding the new arrivals.
And it seems as though the twist has been well received by those watching at home so far.
