Oppo Find X8 Pro Ireland launch for flagship smartphone with acclaimed cameras confirmed
One of the last major smartphone releases of 2024 comes from Oppo just in time for Christmas market
As indicated by Irish Mirror last week, Oppo has today confirmed the global launch of the Find X8 Series, with Ireland and Europe exclusively releasing its ultra-premium model, the Find X8 Pro.
The firm said the new flagship handset delivers ultra-grade experiences across camera, performance, and battery life and debuts its ColorOS 15 software with its suite of advanced Oppo AI solutions.
Oppo said Find X8 Pro is premium, elegant, and durable, with rich glass and aluminium construction plus a striking Cosmos Ring design, delivering a super-comfortable in-hand experience, whichever you choose. The company claimed the device sets a new benchmark in its class for super-slim flagship camera phone design.
We also saw the launch of a new 12.1in Android tablet, Oppo Pad 3 Pro.

Oppo Find X8 Pro key features
Oppo Find X8 Pro features an ultra-immersive 6.78in display, with quad-curved glass on both sides. The device also marks the debut of Oppo’s dual-periscope telephoto camera for global markets. Find X8 Pro is available in Space Black and Pearl White, with each Pearl White device featuring a unique pearlescent pattern – no two devices are the same.
Renowned for camera innovation, Find X8 Pro includes a quad 50MP camera set-up, adding a 135mm periscope camera for further-reaching 6x optical zoom and a larger 23mm wide-angle camera sensor. Find X8 Pro is also the first globally available smartphone to feature two periscope cameras, with the firm promising gapless zoom performance. The triple prism periscope camera comes with a flagship-grade 50MP, 1/1.95in Sony LYT600 sensor that the company said captures superior lowlight photos and videos despite its compact size. Find X8 Pro can capture Dolby Vision HDR video at up to 4K resolution, 60 frames per second with all the cameras, including the front-facing camera.
You also get Oppo’s latest Hasselblad Master Camera System and AI Telescope Zoom. The device also includes Lightning Snap, which takes up to seven photos every second without compromising on flagship-grade photo processing.
Oppo Find X8 Pro is equipped with a 5910mAh silicon-carbon battery that is larger than almost every other 2024 flagship phone power pack apart from Asus Rog Phone 8 Pro and RedMagic 9S Pro.
Under the hood is the latest-generation MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip running the new ColorOS 15 software (based on Android 15) which the firm said perfectly complements the Find X8 Pro. Its seamless visuals, intuitive elements, and clever time-saving AI tools should put everything you need at your fingertips.
Find X8 Pro has a 6.78in Infinite View Display, with its size being offset by its elegant, curved frame and quad-curved glass on the front and back, creating a soft, easy-to-manage hold. Available in Space Black and Pearl White, Find X8 Pro carries this sleek, diffuse aesthetic forward. Each Pearl White Find X8 Pro adds a unique pearlescent pattern, infusing an exclusive quality to the colour.
Oppo Pad 3 Pro key features
Oppo also introduced what is dubbed a flagship tablet, Pad 3 Pro, to Ireland. Boasting an elegant metal unibody design, this tablet is a mere 6.49mm thin, offering a sleek aesthetic. Elevating the entertainment experience, the Pad 3 Pro features a stunning 12.1in 3K display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, complemented by an exceptional audio system that includes eight speakers and Spatial Audio for immersive sound quality.

Oppo Find X8 Pro is available in Ireland for €1199. Oppo Pad 3 Pro is available for €599.
