Cooney will miss Ulster's Champions Cup opener after suffering a hamstring injury against Leinster.
Ulster scrum-half John Cooney sustained a hamstring injury against Leinster and is unavailable for the province's Champions Cup Round 1 fixture against Toulouse this Sunday.
Ben Moxham suffered a significant right-knee injury in the same game and he will see a knee surgeon this week.

The province are hopeful that Zac Ward (recent concussion) will re-integrate into full team training later this week and thus be available for selection for the match.
Ulster players who were involved with recent Ireland international duty are back and available for selection ahead of the weekend.
