Man charged after alleged serious assault in broad daylight in Naas
GardaĆ are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the alleged assault to come forward
A man has been charged and is due in court in connection with a serious assault that occurred in Naas, Co. Kildare on Monday.
The alleged incident occurred shortly before 12 noon on Newbridge Road, near the Ardconagh Housing Estate. The alleged victim, in his 20s, was approached by a lone male and assaulted, sustaining facial injuries. He was subsequently taken to Naas Hospital for treatment.
Gardaí are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the alleged assault to come forward.

In the course of follow-up inquiries, a man in his 20s was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at a Garda Station in County Kildare.
The man has since been charged and is due to appear before Naas District Court this morning, Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
In addition, they are appealing to those with video footage, particularly dash-cam footage from motorists traveling on Newbridge Road near the Ardconagh Housing Estate at the time, to come forward.
