McGregor has been backed to make a successful switch to WWE if he opts to step away from the octagon.
The Dubliner has not fought in over three years since he suffered a broken leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in the summer of 2021. He was due to face Michael Chandler in June of this year, but withdrew from the bout after breaking a toe in training.
Earlier this week, McGregor jokingly agreed to retire from fighting after a suggestion from a fan on social media.
“No reason to come back to UFC or fighting in general, you have beautiful family, worth half a billion, businesses, as being a successful business man,” the user wrote. “You made your dreams come true, becoming UFC double champ. Don’t risk your health or well being, you have got nothing to prove to anyone champ, continue to live life with happiness." McGregor replied to the message by saying: "Ya know what, you’re right, goodbye."
