Clare star's game of keepie-uppie during a championship match shows up Gaelic football's problems
It was something that you might see in a warm-up for a junior game. To do it in the middle of a senior championship semi-final is something else.
Anyone who still thinks Gaelic football doesn't need to change should have been watching the Clare semi-final between Éire Óg and Ennistymon on Sunday.
The result was no surprise to anyone. Éire Óg cantered into their third Clare senior county final with a 14 point win.
They have only lost one of their last 20 championship games, and that was after extra-time and penalties against Cratloe a year ago.

Ennisytmon didn't put up any kind of resistance. They didn't score in the first half - the half-time score was 1-3 to 0-0.
And the second half wasn't much better. Éire Óg added another 10 points, Ennystymon responded with just 0-2.
But it was a moment involving Ennistymon's Clare county player Cillian Rouine that sent jaws dropping.
At one stage, he had possession in the middle of the field with no-one near him.
So Rouine started juggling with the ball, doing keepie-uppies under no pressure. A video of the incident was put on social media by Colm Parkinson's Smaller Fish GAA.
It was something that you might see in a warm-up for a junior game. To do it in the middle of a senior championship semi-final is something else.
That kind of nonsense is why so many hope the new rules being trialled in Gaelic football change the game for the better.
