A debate on Ireland's greatest ever sportsperson has been raging on the Irish Mirror Sport's Facebook days in recent days.
Naming one person whose sporting brilliance outweighs every other Irish sportsperson is an impossible task, but when you start looking through the names, it is incredible the number of world class athletes our small island has produced over the years.
Last month, we asked ChatGPT to list Ireland's greatest ever sportspeople (in no particular order) and it threw up some interesting names.

They were: Jack Charlton (awarded honorary Irish citizenship in 1996), Katie Taylor, Roy Keane, Rory McIlroy, Paul O'Connell, George Best, Brian O'Driscoll, Sonia O'Sullivan, Paul McGrath and Stephen Roche.
However, people have been having their say online, adding a number of other names to the debate from various sports.
Former footballer Liam Brady has been put forward by some, while boxing greats Steve Collins and Barry McGuigan have been mentioned by others.
Cyclist Sean Kelly, motorcyclist Joey Dunlop, golfer Padraig Harrington and three-time Olympic medallist rower Paul O'Donovan were some of the other names mentioned, as well as 20-time champion jockey AP McCoy and legendary trainer Vincent O'Brien.
