Jake Paul tells boxing fans the best bet to place on fight with Mike Tyson: 'Safest bet'
Jake Paul is set to take on boxing icon Mike Tyson in mid-November and the American has now told supporters where they should place their money ahead of the clash in Texas
Jake Paul has said him knocking out Mike Tyson is the “safest bet” that fans can make ahead of the pair’s much anticipated clash.
The pair go glove-to-glove in Arlington, Texas on November 15 after seeing their original bout cancelled. It is Tyson’s first return to the ring since taking on Roy Jones Jr in 2020.
The former heavyweight world champion, now 58, previously suffered a health scare which saw the original bout between him and Paul postponed. And with the rearranged clash now just a couple of months away, the build up has now started in earnest.
Paul, still unbeaten, is sure that he will win via knockout and has told fans to put their money on that being the outcome. Speaking to Fox Business, he said: “I’m going to knock out Mike Tyson so if people want to bet, that's the safest bet that they should go for.”
Asked why he was so convinced on knocking out Tyson, he replied: “I’m just confident in my ability. I’ve been training, I’ve been active. My power. I know Mike Tyson is going to be the toughest opponent I’ve had yet.
“His one punch power, he’s an animal. The baddest man on the planet. But that’s what they say about all my opponents. The last guy was the king of violence and I starched him in the second round, putting him down multiple times.
“A lot of these people have these reputations but I’m the new king of the block and I talk a lot of smack but I always back it up. November 15 is going to be the same thing. You’re going to watch me knock out one of the greatest to ever do it, whether you like it or not.

“He wants to fight me. It’s an honour for me to be in there with a legend but I have to do what I do best and that’s put people to sleep.”
While Paul has been in the middle of preparations, the same could certainly be said of Tyson - but it hasn’t quite been going to plan so far. As quoted by USA Today, he revealed he has been training three or four times a day.
Tyson is feeling the effects but is sure that he will be fighting fit come fight day. He said: "It's hard to walk right now. But two months from now I'm going to be perfect.''
