Declan Rice heavily booed by Aviva Stadium on return to Ireland
Arsenal star Rice wasn’t given the warmest of welcomes on his return to the Aviva Stadium.

Rice infamously played three times in friendlies for Ireland in 2019 before defecting and pledging allegiance to the land of his birth.
Since then, Rice has gone on to become a key figure for the Three Lions and has represented England at two European Championships and a World Cup.

Before the game even began, Rice was showered with boos by the Aviva crowd in the warm-up and in as his name was read out before kick-off.
As England return to the Aviva with two former Irish players - Rice and former underage star for the Boys in Green Jack Grealish - Assistant head coach John O’Shea was keen to park the drama when speaking to the media earlier this week.
Asked if he ever wondered what an Ireland team would be like with Rice still in it, O’Shea said: “No, not at all.
“It's a focus on us and the players that are here and the players who want to be here. It's as simple as that.
“He's not here, he's in the England squad, so we can't keep talking about it.”
