Dr Hilary makes urgent plea over Matthew Perry's death and fumes 'I'm disgusted'

Outrage was sparked on the set of Lorraine as Dr Hilary Jones spoke out about Matthew Perry's death, adding he was "disgusted" by his profession.
The Friends star was found dead at his Los Angeles home in October 2023 at the age of 54. Months after his passing, five people have been charged in connection to the tragedy, including Dr Mark Chavez, who recently refused to enter a plea though it has been reported that he signed an agreement with prosecutors to plead guilty to conspiring to distribute ketamine.
During a chat with Lorraine Kelly on Tuesday, Dr Hilary spoke about Ozempic - a weight loss treatment popular in Hollywood. Dr Hilary mentioned Matthew's demise as he pointed out how the late actor's addiction had been used against him.
"Please go to a responsible medical practitioner," Dr Hilary said, aware that Ozempic has taken the world by storm. "Not someone who has just set up a clinic and wants to make a fast buck. If you look at all, the Matthew Perry saga, the list of celebrities who have been given inappropriate drugs and their habit has been fed by doctors who are just out to make a fast buck."

While Lorraine branded the scheme "horrendous" and even "awful", Dr Hilary added: "I'm disgusted with my profession in that way. Just be careful."
Mark Chavez's guilty plea could land him up to 10 years in prison. This would be the third guilty plea entered into the case. Both previous pleas also agreed to help the U.S. Attorney's Office, including Matthew's assistant, Kenneth Iwamasa, who admitted to helping him get the drug and inject it, and Eric Fleming, who admitted to acting as a middleman.
Prosecutors are expected to move forward with their charges against Dr. Salvador Plasencia and Jasveen Sangha. The doctor was charged with allegedly selling ketamine to Matthew as recently as a month before his death. Sangha, on the other hand, is known commonly as the "ketamine queen," being named as such in the court filings against her.
Matthew Perry was found dead in his California home and his immediate cause of death was initially unclear, but investigations later noted that ketamine was involved. He was reportedly found unresponsive in his hot tub. When emergency responders arrived, they attempted a water rescue, but to no avail.
