Chiedozie Ogbene has expressed his delight at making his Premier League debut with Ipswich Town.

The Ireland forward started in the 1-1 draw with Fulham, just days after making his first appearance since his move from Luton Town in a penalty shootout defeat to Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.

Ogbene played 45 minutes of the Dons game, but completed 88 minutes against Fulham before being replaced by Conor Chaplin.

He posted on social media: “Words Can’t describe how lucky I’ve been to come here and in a short space of time make my official club debut on Wednesday and a league debut yesterday with this amazing group of players!

“Thank you for all the support.

“Portman Road atmosphere is just wow.”

Ogbene is no stranger to Premier League football. The former Cork City and Limerick man made 30 top-flight appearances last season with Luton.
