Liam and Noel Gallagher took the world by storm by announcing a reunion tour for Oasis but sellers are now hyper-aware of another risk fans may encounter while trying to book their concert tickets.

After a 15-year-feud, the brothers set the rumour mill into overdrive as they teased an upcoming announcement. On Tuesday, Noel and Liam confirmed reunion rumours by sharing a long list of dates for their upcoming 2025 tour.

Oasis will return to the stage for non-televised performances throughout summer 2025, heading to the likes of Dublin, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Cardiff, leaving excited fans to wait for Saturday, August 31 to book their tickets ahead of time.

However, they are being warned not to fall for the tricks of fraudsters, likely to piggyback on the success of the Oasis reunion tour, much like they did with Taylor Swift's Eras Tour.

Lloyds Bank's fraud prevention director Liz Ziegler reminded fans of the dangers of social media, where most of these ticket scams begin, as she said, according to Mail Online : "Missing out on these landmark gigs would be devastating for Oasis fans who have waited so long for this reunion. But you can be sure that criminals are getting ready to 'slide away' with their hard-earned cash."

"Most of these scams begin on social media, where impostors create fake profiles to sell non-existent tickets. The simple rule for fans is always stick to official ticketing platforms and avoid deals which look too good to be true."

Tickets for the band's two Croke Park gigs set to go on sale at 8am this Saturday (August 31) and Ticketmaster has made it clear that a there will be a limit of four tickets per household and only tickets bought through approved agents will be considered valid.

This comes after fans of big industry names in the likes of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and even Beyonce were scammed out of hundreds over concert tickets.

Some Irish Swifties revealed how they were scammed out of large sums of money after trying to purchase tickets for one of the singer’s concerts at the Aviva Stadium, with one fan revealing they lost out on €1,000 after falling victim to scammers.

The surge in scammers targeting Irish Taylor Swift fans led gardai to warn members of the public that if they are buying things online and they have any doubts or something seems too good to be true, they should stop and consider whether it could be a scam.
