Alison Hammond excitedly announced her new romance novel about a relationship wit a TV star, which could lead to her opening up about her new relationship.

Last month, the This Morning star, 49, revealed she wrote a book called Bombshell. Along with a picture of the cover, she said: "Exciting News !! My new book “Bombshell” is out Nov 7th . it’s my first novel and I’m really excited for you to read it."

She also said about her novel: "My character is called Madison and she's married to a TV heartthrob husband who is absolutely gorgeous. Anyway, he lands this massive bombshell onto Madison that kind of flips her life upside down. She's given so much up for her kids... her career, it's time to reclaim her own worth."

The story of being in a relationship with a TV star is eerily close to Alison's romance with her current partner David Putman, who is 22 years her junior. Back in May, the pair found themselves at the centre of engagement rumours after she was spotted with a diamond on her ring finger while hosting the show.

Alison went public with her romance earlier this year in an Instagram post and despite recent split rumours, they still seem to be going strong. On the Parenting Hell podcast with Rob Beckett, she also addressed what it was like to date while being a parent to 19-year-old son Aiden.

She shared: "I think it's more difficult. I think he's more verbal now that he's older, he will wanna know who this person is and he'll want to meet them... it's a lot harder, yeah." It comes after Alison opened up about her 'fickle' financial situation despite being a well-known celebrity.

The presenter shot to fame on Big Brother in the early 2000s and appeared on the likes of Great British Bake Off and For The Love Of Dogs but once struggled with her income when she was unused by This Morning in 2007 and had no other work lined up. Opening up about her money woes at a time when she was well-known, Alison admitted: “There was a time when I couldn’t pay my mortgage, and I was really famous.”

She got a job at the local hairdressers, but if a customer recognised her, she would say she was helping out, then “I’d answer the phone, do a few blow dries," she says. Her son, Aidan, still very young, was at home while her mum helped them financially. She recalled the story in Guardian and began to cry.

Alison continued: "It’s not all good all of the time. But I was all right, you know? That’s television, it’s fickle and it’s part of my journey, part of my power.”
