Oasis have sent fans into a frenzy as they reunite for the first time since 2009 with a brand new tour. Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher have confirmed their Oasis reunion with 14 dates across the UK and Ireland next year. The OASIS Live 25 tour will see the brothers hit the road beginning in Cardiff and ending in Dublin with two nights in Croke Park.

The brothers posed in a new black and white photo together as the full details of the tour were announced on Tuesday at 8am after teasing the announcement on Sunday. In a joint statement on behalf of Oasis, the brothers said: “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

Oasis last performed together in Paris back in 2009, but we have confirmed the brothers are already talking again and their war of words lasting decades is over. During their time apart, Noel formed his High Flying Birds while Liam started with his band Beady Eye before turning solo.

New Liam and Noel Gallagher Oasis photo sparks concern

Noel and Liam Gallagher are going on tour together next year but questions still remain around their reunion and if they have met face to face to get their friendship back on track. Oasis put out a photo along with their new reunion tour dates, but it was unclear if Liam and Noel had posed together or if the image was a merging of two photos.

Previous reports this week suggest the pair have made up over phone calls in recent weeks, and there has been no comments regarding the new photo, taken by Simon Emmett.

Liam and Noel Gallagher's local Mayo publican speaks about reunion

The owner of Liam and Noel Gallagher’s local pub has said he would be “delighted” to see the brothers back together again - as speculation is rife an Oasis reunion is set to be announced. The brothers have roots in Ireland, with their late grandmother Margaret hailing from Charlestown in Mayo. Liam and Noel Gallagher’s late grandmother Margaret, who died in 2000, was a popular figure around the pub and local community.

John Finan has run JJ Finan’s pub and hardware store since 1953. John told us: “I’m delighted they are getting back together. I haven’t seen Liam for a couple of years. He hasn’t been home in a while. The last time he was in he played the guitar and if he’s around, he’d always come in.

“But he was here, and he is a very nice fella and Noel was here as well. The grandmother used to be in. I wouldn’t get involved with family stuff, but they are two nice lads to me, that’s all I know. When I met them, they were very sociable towards me, they were very nice to me. I’m delighted they are back together again.”

Potential new Oasis album coming this week?

With just minutes to go until the big announcement this morning, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a new release from Oasis is set to arrive later this week. Music streaming giant Spotify have updated Oasis’ official band page with a countdown to the release of the new record on Friday and the option to pre-save it ahead of its release.

Where will they play?

Oasis are reportedly gearing up to play several nights at Manchester's Heaton Park, which is the biggest public park in England's North West. The band played at the venue back in 2009. They are also believed to be playing 10 nights at Wembley Stadium next summer following the football season.

They are rumoured to headline Glastonbury, which takes place from June 25 to 29 next year, and there have been reports of potential dates in Scotland.

They have also been backed to play in Croke Park. bookies Boylesports has made Croke Park the 8/15 odds-on favourite to be the venue of choice in Ireland for an Oasis comeback gig.

“When it comes to what banger the band will choose to open with, Rock N Roll Star is the 2/1 favourite with BoyleSports to top the band’s 2025 setlist, with Be Here Now (4/1) and Roll With It (5/1) also in the running. It’s expected that the brothers will keep their most iconic tunes like Wonderwall and Whatever until later in the set with both belters chalked up at 25/1.,” Boylesports said.

Sharon McHugh, spokeswoman for BoyleSports, added: “Excitement is reaching boiling point with an Oasis reunion now looking more likely than ever. Some Might Say the Gallagher brothers are just the shot of adrenaline that the music industry needs!”

Imminent announcement

Both Liam and Noel have teased the annoucment with a crytpic video on their social media account. The brothers shared the clip, which was also posted on the official Oasis page, that stated "27.08.24" followed by "8am" in the band's iconic logo font. No other message was shared with the video.

Over the weekend, Liam had provided more hints to fans as he performed at Reading and Leeds Festival. He branded his brother Noel the "greatest songwriter" and just the day before said: "It is very interesting innit? It is a very interesting situation we’ve found ourselves in," as he launched into a rendition of Oasis' Half The World Away.
