New Zealand Rose Keely O'Grady has been crowned the winner of the 2024 International Rose of Tralee.

Roses from the Irish diaspora all over the world will take to the stage for the second night of the 64th festival, including Roses from Yorkshire, Chicago, London, New York and counties in every corner of Ireland, but ultimately Keely took home the title.

All in all 32 Roses were in the running to be crowned Rose of Tralee, with each taking to the stage to chat with presenters Dáithí Ó Sé and Kathryn Thomas, sharing stories of their lives and showing off their talents.

Monday night was full of glitz and glamour, with 18 Roses from Cork to Dubai to Perth and everywhere in between taking part in the first semi-final, with contestants doing magic tricks, fiddle performances and more.

On Tuesday night the final 14 Roses from Yorkshire, Chicago, London, New York, Kildare, Donegal and Derry all vying for the crown. The night was full of tea reading, harp playing, Irish dancing and more.

The winner was chosen by the 2024 judges, Nuala Carey of RTÉ Weather and National Lottery, Ollie Turner, a Galway broadcaster who has been head of Sport with Galway Bay FM since 2000, international fashion designer to the stars, Don O’Neill and 1998 Rose of Tralee, Luzveminda O’Sullivan.

The 21-year-old winner is the first Rose from New Zealand to take part in the competition since 1988 and is only the second Rose from New Zealand to ever take part in the competition.

"I'm shaking so much right now," the new Rose of Tralee told host Kathryn Thomas on RTÉ as she was crowned the 2024 winner.

"What I'm most looking forward to is doing this for my country. As someone from New Zealand, we've only had two New Zealand Roses, the last time was in 1988, so it does really mean a lot to me.”
